South African police have torched food and goods they collected from looters.
South Africans were at first happy when police went house to house in some areas and collected all the looted items. Things however took a different turn.
Videos and photos of the police burning the collected foodstuffs and other goods made netizens angry. People hoped the goods would be given to less fortunate or children homes.
Others said, the police should have collected everything else other than the foodstuff. They felt like the police were too inconsiderate.
Most people said the government didn’t care about its citizens and how they felt. Whether they went hungry or not. This move is just barbaric they said.
